Well, the 2017 season is over. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Now I'm closing out the year for taxes and getting ready for this year's art shows, starting with Antelope Island this February. More art shows will follow later.

Pictures and cards are available at the usual stores, and if you want one that's not at a store or you don't see it on this web site just give me a shout! Let me know by e-mail or phone and I'll get the picture you want.

Antelope Island State Park lets local artists display their art in the gallery of the Visitor Center, and every two months a new artist gets to show his or her work on the walls there.

In February and March of 2018 it's my turn at the gallery. I'll have 11x14 as well as panoramic pictures there for you to look at and to buy. If you like a picture you can take it off of the wall, bring it to the counter and buy it. It'll be yours to keep and enjoy at your home.

May 17 - 21, 2018:

This has become a landmark event for Northern Utah, bringing visitors from throughout the nation and around the world! I'll be running two photo events for the Bird Festival as well as my photo booth:

A. Thursday, May 17, 8-12 a.m.: Photography Tour of Farmington Bay I'll give tips on camera settings, how to shoot hand-held, with a tripod or from the car as well as other tips and techniques. Then we'll practice those points "in the wild" as I lead you along the main road, stopping at likely spots for photographing birds. As we move along I'll provide more equipment tips and personal help for getting the best pictures possible in nearly any conditions.

Cost is only $20. Sign up soon at The Bird Festival Page. Then, on May 17 before 8 a.m. bring your camera, lens, tripod etc. and meet at Davis County Legacy Events Center 151 S. 1100 W. Farmington UT 84025

B. Saturday, May 19, 8-9 a.m.: Photo seminar This will be an introduction to photography with an emphasis on bird photos. I'll cover some theory and the basic settings to let you control the camera. You'll get tips for shooting birds as well as how to shoot like an artist. No cost, at the Event Center.

C. Friday & Saturday, May 18 & 19, Vendor Booth Then, on Friday and Saturday I'll have my booth ready for picture and card sales ... or just come by and chat, enjoy the pictures and watch the rolling bird video I'll have.
